A small training session: Pikachu vs Scyther! Empty A small training session: Pikachu vs Scyther!

It was a beautiful sunny day. The perfect day to do nothing but relax in the sunlight, well it would have been if Madeline and her team weren't having problems. These problems came in the form of a huge mass of Pidgey and Pidgeotto that had suddenly flocked down upon the unexpected trainer and her pokemon as she entered the forest. It would have been a bad thing if she hadn't had an electric type on her side of the playing field.

    "Sparks, use thundershock!"

The small yellow mouse pokemon, leaped off his master's shoulder and into the air toward the flock of birds. Upon closer arrival toward the birds, Sparks released a huge jolting wave of electricity toward them. In a matter of seconds as the attack struck, many of the birds hit the ground and didn't move again. The few not hit, turned and flew off in the opposite direction, not wanting to get into battle with such a pokemon like Pikachu.

Madeline merely smiled some and dismounted her ponyta and approached a small group of the fallen birds.

"No, use in letting this attack go to waste, I'm sure they'll be fine," She pulled out an extra pokeball from her bag and looked toward a Pidgeotto that lay within feet of her shoes. "I'll go ahead and catch one for the road, go pokeball!"

She threw the white and red ball and once it hit, engulfed the bird pokemon within it's grip. No surprise that there was no struggle that followed. The bird pokemon would be knocked out for hours after that attack, giving her enough time to get to the nearest pokemon center to have it looked over. After capturing her newest pokemon she turned back to Sparks and smiled softly.

"Great job Sparks, you're thundershock is getting stronger"

"Pika pi" The small mouse answered with a big smile. He was just as impressed as his master was with the recent battle. Having delt so much power to those pidgey clearly stated of his growing power.

"Well," Madeline walked the short distance toward him, knelt down and placed a hand on top of his head, "Despite your growing power, I think there should be more training involved, what do you say?"

"Pikachu!" Sparks cried, agreeing with her whole heartly. Madeline chuckled and restood to her feet and nodded.

"That's the spirit, I think I'll give you a challenge with Scyther"

The small mouse pokemon merely nodded and held up his small paws. A clear sign to his trainer that he was ready for his next test. Liking the determination leaking from him, Madeline reached over and pulled out Scyther's pokeball and threw it. In a blaze of light, the green bug/flying praying mantis pokemon appeared with his huge blade-like forearms crossed over his chest. And those black orbs instantly swept down to his teammate Pikachu and instantly his blades swept up in a defensive move. Madeline blinked. It seemed Scyther had been prepared for a small training session. She shrugged and approached Scyther and gave him a small pat on the shoulder.

"Scyther" He mumbled his name and looked to his trainer before looking back to Sparks. Who had already settled in his attacking postion, small electric shocks already pouring from his redden cheeks. They really were taking this training session to heart. All for the best she guessed, it was the best experience for them, especially if a real challenge came along. Anyhow it was time to get this training started!

"Alright Sparks jump into the air and use thundershock, and you Scyther use quick attack to dogde it!"

Sparks gave off a small nod and did as he was told, launching himself into the air and sending out another jolt of bolt of electricity down toward the bug pokemon. Scyther watched from his perch as the attack hurled toward him, but before it could struck, doing as his master commanded he used quick attack to dogde the attack. Only to launch himself into the air at the small mouse pokemon. With his blades held high to attack.

"Scyther use False Swipe and you Sparks use Iron Tail to counter it!

"Scyther!" With that command riding in the air, the green pokemon made a slash toward the small mouse. When close enough Sparks's tail began to glow and before the bug pokemon's attack could hit it, the mouse pokemon turned and countered the attack with a mere swing of his tail.

Madeline smiled as she watched the action unfolded before her. This was turning out to be a good training session so far. Yet she wondered how long it would last before her two pokemon began to take the battle seriously? How long indeed.
